Following the success of the curling team ,our cricket representatives walloped the MCC  team scoring an amazing 206 runs thanks to Sid / Chris 89opening pair followed by 55 + each by David / Nigel and Mark / Keith….they never had a chance after that….
Despite the efforts of Mr James and his 16 ball over and skipper Hakes with a back injury we played out their innings and won by a comfortable margin. Even umpire Bayney had an easy afternoon…Keith did star in the bar later by buying beer for his teammates and discussed his travel plans to down under.

Taverner’s  batting first scored a total of 206 runs with 17 extras.

Chris and Sid batting first scored a total of 80 runs (9 extras) Nigel and David batting second scored a total of 54 runs (4 extras) Mark and Keith batting last scored a total of 55 runs.

David—  40 runs

Mark     —  40 runs

Keith —  15 runs

MCC batting second scored a total of 155 runs with 23 extras.

Keith J — 2 overs for 42 runs

David   — 1 overs 9 runs

Nigel       — 4 overs 39 runs for 1 wicket

Mark    — 4 overs 41 runs for 2 wickets

Sid       — 4 overs 48 runs for 1 wicket.

 

51 run victory for the taverners.

Taverners’ first six a side indoor game: Taverners’ captain David lost the toss and send in to bowl first. The U19 team scored a total of 133 runs. The extras given by the Taverners were 25.

David   — 4 overs 40 runs for 4 wickets

Ali        — 4 overs 39 runs for 2 wickets

Mark    — 4 overs 21 runs for 2 wickets

Sid       — 4 overs 31 runs for 1 wicket.

Taverners scored a total of 124 runs and U19 gave 27 runs in extras.
