Pub Crawl Day 7 Friday June 28

Up early for breakfast but despite being told breakfast was at 7:15, nobody was up at that time, so we hit the road to Liverpool,

Quite an enjoyable & very picturesque and very, windy road around Loch Lomond. After leaving the Loch Lomond it was mostly motor way driving fast but quite boring. So, I convinced Sid to take a break in Lytham St Annes. Went for a walk along the Prom. The tide was so far out that we couldn’t see the water. After Sid had become convinced that England has sandy beaches, I am sure after this trip he is now convinced there is no ocean. Had a beer in a beach pub before continuing on our way.

The directions to the Liverpool Hotel took us along the dock area, not a very inviting area but the last mile or so was much better. The Hotel doesn’t have parking so Sid had to go to a public lot close by that was half the downtown area under ground When Sid returned to the hotel I asked where the car was parked, the answer “I have no idea”

Set off to do some shopping but found “The Cavern” so dropped in for a beer. Some live entertainment, the place was packed with everyone there looking for a good time. Many of the Beatles songs played had full audience participation. Spent way too much time there but fun time. Supper & bed
